Here’s a terrific opportunity for PAYG or Incorporated Contractors to deliver high level procurement outcomes to one of the most significant energy projects in Queensland. Such is the scale of this project 18 newly created positions are available for procurement professionals. Working in a dynamic team environment, you will leverage your procurement experience (preferably in mining, oil and gas or similar), contracts administration, tender review and project management skills to enable cost effective, continuous improvement focused and best practice in purchasing and supply. Desired Skills & Experience Your proficiency in the use of SAP and proven ability to build and maintain strong supplier and vendor relationships, as well as your excellence in communication, will underpin your success. Your varied responsibilities will include: • Aligning the procurement function and outcomes to business and project objectives, while ensuring company policies and processes are adhered to • Management of purchase orders and materials requirements • Determining cost savings opportunities and identifying vendor risk • Facilitating exceptional service delivery from vendors and suppliers through ongoing and effective communication • Sourcing and managing company preferred suppliers, including the negotiation of competitive terms Positions are available at various levels within the team, as such hourly rate will reflect level of responsibility and be will be commensurate with experience from $40 to $55 per hour. Long term contracts ( up to 2 years ) will give great security while working on this landmark project.
