Job Description - Opportunity for a Senior Production Engineer to join the team in the Pilbara
- Reporting to the Registered Manager
- Ensure that mine development and production mining activities meet operational goals and targets
- Responsible for daily grade control scheduling, development of shift operating plans and drill & blast pattern design and scheduling
- Short term pit design and haulage profile optimization, production reporting and health & safety inspections/compliance
- FIFO role based near Port Hedland
The Successful Applicant - Degree in Engineering Mining or equivalent
- Proven track record in open pit mine development & scheduling
- Open pit drill and blast experience is essential
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and deal with conflicting priorities
- High level of safety awareness
- Qualifications in remote first aid and unrestricted Quarry Managers certificate would be an advantage
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and proficient in the use of mining software, ideally Vulcan
