The Role
As Shutdown Planner you will be responsible for delivering shutdown planning for Minor Projects team and manage the planning process implementation and scheduling / leveling of works.  Your role will include monitoring and reporting on the status to ensure the appropriate tasks and maintenance are completed on time and on budget with a focus on safety during the plant shuts.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that planned shutdown activities (minor projects - construction & maintenance) are scheduled in a timely manner.
  • Developing Maintenance shutdown plans taking into consideration all maintenance and operational requirements for execution by the maintenance teams
  • Managing maintenance costs for area of responsibility and provide analytical reports on cost variances 
  • Managing planned maintenance targets and key performance indicators.
  • Compile detailed plans and project execution schedules.
  • Assist in developing procedures to streamline planning and improve project execution.
  • Supervise and monitor the ongoing works shutdown program
The Candidate
  • Solid experience in preparing shutdown maintenance work orders and schedules using Microsoft Project.
  • Proven experience maintaining fixed plant equipment in the mining or resources processing industry is essential, with further experience in a maintenance planning capacity.
  • Knowledge of Maximo or similar computerised maintenance management systems
  • Experience in determining planned maintenance schedules.
  • Proven ability to set up, monitor and maintain budgetary control mechanisms.
  • Sub-contractor management & project management expertise
  • Ability to schedule in MS Project
  • Strong estimation skills - man hours & cost
 
This role will be based on a 5 day week based in Adelaide office with travel as required to site during the planning phase and 15d/13d roster on site for duration of shutdown during implementation phase.
