A well developed Civil & Mining ASX Listed company is looking to restructure and expand operations and as a result are looking for Mechanical Supervisor. They are looking for a Permanent team member looking to help expand operations. You will be responsible for but not limited to large scale Civil works and Mining Operations tenders involving large interaction with clients and EPCM’s. The ideal candidates will progress toward cert IV in Frontline Management and have a good commercial understanding. Familiar with CMMS and knowledge of AMT and JDE software. They will also have Skills, Attributes and education that includes: • Mechanical Trades Qualification with experience in planning and maintenance of the fixed plant • Have 5 – 10 Years Mine site Supervisory experience • Absolute commitment to safety • High level attention to detail in all aspects of the mechanical maintenance within the mining operations. • Scheduling experience • Intermediate computer skills including MS office suite and JDE • Excellent communications, organisational and interpersonal skills • Current WA drivers licence. Key Objectives: • Maximising highest possible plant availability by ensuring all scheduled mechanical maintenance is carried out on time achieving greater than 85% plant availability • Monitoring any reductions in plant availability due to mechanical failure, utilise Root Cause Analysis methods to determine cause of faults & failures to prevent further recurrences • Actively participate in defining and executing continuous improvement projects • Comply with all legislative and statutory requirements • Actively promote and support Environmental, QA, OH&S and EEO policies • Promote Cultural awareness and Indigenous Australian Participation Key Responsibilities: • Maximising equipment availability through the most effective use of the maintenance crew and physical resources to achieve production targets • Meeting planning objectives by controlling manpower and delegated mechanical tasks • Track performance against KPI’s • Report production failures to superintendent • Implement OHP maintenance schedules • Ensure all work is completed efficiently and within budget parameters • Optimise use of all resources through effective management of labour and materials • Identify equipment and or crew deficiencies and make appropriate recommendations for improvements • Promote and encourage safe work practices • Report all incidents and near misses • Take appropriate action to rectify unsafe or hazardous situations This client prides in promoting Indigenous Australian Participation and Cultural awareness as a vital and integral part of both the client’s core Aims & Values and the value this represents to the individuals, the market place and the economy as a whole.
