Join a diversified Australian mineral explorer who is based in Brisbane. The Company's principal focus is on the discovery of heavy mineral sand deposits, copper and base metal deposits in Western Australia, South Australia and Queensland.
A senior geologist is required to supervise the companys prospective copper and base metals projects. As the Project Exploration Geologist you will assist with the safe and efficient operation of exploration and drilling programs. Planning, processing and reporting on the geological data from the exploration projects. RC and core logging and interpretation. Manipulation of data to help locate mineral deposits.
The successful applicant will ideally possess:
· Geology degree or similar appropriate education
· 5 years experience in porphyry intrusion deposits
· Proficient in the use of mining computer software.
Primarily working in Queensland you will also have the opportunity to work on projects throughout Australia. Field work will include mapping, core logging, drilling and general exploration of these projects. Your experience in porphyry intrusion related deposits will be highly valued
