Kinetic Recruitment is a leading supplier of engineering recruitment solutions to the Rail Sector.

My client, a multinational organisation, are a leading manufacturer and supplier of a wide range of Rolling Stock covering metros, tramways, suburban and regional trains and locomotives within the Transport sector. Due to continued growth they have an immediate vacancy for a Quality Engineer based at their Melbourne offices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Delivering a quality engineering function in a program and ensuring the delivery of products that comply with customer's specifications.
• Identifying project specific quality requirements in conjunction with the Project Manager and other functional Managers.
• Ensuring compliance with contractual and internal quality requirements.
• Liaise with customer and project staff on non conformance and defect investigation.
• Supporting development and enforcing the use of policies.
• Defined practices, standards, convention and procedures required for the program.
• Conducting program quality audits to assess compliances to Plans and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering and/or Diploma in Quality Management.
• Minimum 3 years in Quality Assurance role in a Project-based environment.
• Good working knowledge of ISO 9001.
• Strong communication skills and the ability build and maintenance effective working relationships are essential.
• Expereince in the Rail industry is ideal, but applicants from other heavy engineering environments eg. Automotive or Defence are encouraged.
