About the Role This position performs an important role within the Newcastle Trade and Industrial team, which manages the labour on hire requirements of various mining, construction, manufacturing and engineering clients. The core objective of this role is to source, interview and register candidates and to build and develop relationships with candidates and clients as well as to develop a professional consultant profile. Key responsibilities of this role include: • Perform tasks associated with the sourcing, interviewing, registering and validating of candidates required in the end-to-end recruitment of employees within the trade and industrial division; • Provide pro-active and high level customer service advice and support to candidates and clients; • Consult with candidates regarding the employment market relating to available positions, salary expectations, career advice, interview preparation and coordination etc; • Facilitate ongoing candidate and client consultation and relationship management; • Develop and manage a busy client and candidate database; • Undertake a diverse array of business development activities including attendance at relevant network and industry events. About the Person To be successful in this role you will require maturity, commercial acumen and be confident to negotiate and interact well with candidates and clients. Your adaptability to work with a broad range of clients and candidates across multiple industries coupled with your excellent people management and communication skills will make you an exceptional candidate for this role. You will be honest, hard working with an ability to gain the trust and respect of clients and candidates. The ability to manage conflicting priorities, understand the importance of customer service and your ability to work as part of a team are a must for this role. Recruitment industry experience is desirable but not essential. Remuneration is negotiable based on the applicant's qualifications, skills and experience.
