A well established business in Canberra is looking a Senior Travel Agent to transform and expand their existing business in terms of operations, sales and technology.

As part of your duties as a Senior Travel Consultant, you will be primarily selling holiday and travel products to customers, including liaising with tour operators and other key partners such as hotels and airlines regarding bookings and schedules. You will also consult with clients about passports, vaccinations, visas, foreign currency, travel insurance, car parking, car hire abroad and excursions in resorts.

There is also the capacity to be the Office Manager, you will reconcile payments and customer orders, including making necessary entries into their accounting system for bookings facilitated. You will also undertake general administration of the office and deal with routing staffing and other office management issues, assist other travel consultants when required, fill in when other consultants are away on leave or duty, update IT systems and staff skills. You will also manage displays of promotional material, attend trade shows and represent the Travel Business appropriately at all times.

To be eligible for this role, it is ideal that you have demonstrated experience as a Travel Consultant for a minimum of 5yrs. Team Leader, Supervisory or Management experience will be highly regarded along with any formal qualifications in the industry. Demonstrated experience in using either Amadeus, Sabre or Galileo is welcomed.
