Our client located in South Melbourne is currently seeking an experienced Marketing and Events Coordinator to join the team. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be the first point of contact for all function enquiries. It will be vital for you to understanding what the potential client is seeking out of a function. You will work in collaboration with the client to tailor a package to their needs. This venue has 4 function rooms to choose from with varying sizes. There is a variety of functions held at this venue; ranging from Wedding and cocktail parties through to corporate conferences and seminars. You will have set function packages that you will be selling to clients; it is also important for you to be able to tailor and customise packages. It is obviously very important that you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will be working with a variety of demographics. Your relationship with the Head Chef and Bar Manager will also be vital. Along with booking and overseeing functions, you will also be expected to develop and maintaining marketing campaigns to get new business through.
